Top Notch Spot

How it works

Every application is reviewed by a person on our recruitment team before it reaches an employer. Here is what happens at each step.

For job seekers

  1. Create an account

Sign up free as a job seeker with your email address.

  2. Build your profile

Add your experience, education, skills and job preferences, and upload your CV. Your profile and CV are never public.

  3. Search jobs

Search by title, skill, company, country, city, work arrangement, salary and more. Save jobs and create job alerts.

  4. Apply

Choose the CV to send and answer the employer’s questions. You can follow the status of every application in your account.

  5. Recruitment screening

A recruiter on our team reads your application and checks it against the job’s requirements.

  6. Interview with our team

If your application is a good match, we invite you to a short interview (phone, video or in person).

  7. Employer review

Suitable candidates are introduced to the employer with a written summary from our recruiter.

  8. Employer interview

The employer may invite you to an interview. You can accept, ask for another time or decline.

  9. Offer

If the employer chooses you, you receive the offer in your account and can accept or decline it.

  10. Hired

Accepting an offer records the hire and your start date with the employer.

For employers

  1. Create your company

Register as an employer and complete your company profile. Our team verifies new companies.

  2. Post a job

Describe the role, requirements, location and (optionally) salary. We review each job before it is published.

  3. Our recruitment team receives the applications

Candidates apply on the job page. Applications come to our recruiters first.

  4. Candidates are screened

We screen CVs and interview promising candidates ourselves.

  5. Suitable candidates are submitted

You receive a shortlist, each candidate with a recruiter’s summary (and CV when shared).

  6. You interview

Request interviews and agree times with candidates through your account.

  7. You decide

Mark candidates as interested, not selected, or ready for an offer.

  8. Offer

Prepare and send the offer. The candidate accepts or declines it online.

  9. Hiring

Accepted offers become hiring records with start dates you can follow.

The exact steps can vary by job and company — for example, some roles have more than one interview, and some employers ask their own questions when you apply.

Common questions

How is Top Notch Spot different from other job boards?

Most job boards publish listings instantly and leave screening to employers. We review each job before publication, read every application, and interview promising candidates before introducing them to employers.

How does hiring work for employers?

You post a role and our team reviews it with you. We screen every CV against your requirements, interview promising candidates, and send you a shortlist with a written summary for each candidate. You make the final decision.

Who sees my CV when I apply?

Your CV and contact details are shared with an employer only through our recruitment team, after our recruiters have reviewed your application. They are never published publicly.

What do recruiters do on Top Notch Spot?

Recruiters review applications for their jobs, screen and interview candidates, submit suitable candidates to employers, and coordinate interviews, offers, and hiring from one workspace.

How do job alerts work?

Create a job alert for the roles and locations you want. We notify you when a matching job is published — immediately, daily, or weekly — and you can stop alerts at any time.

Do employers have to screen applications themselves?

No. Screening, eligibility checks, and first interviews are handled by our recruiters. Employers only spend time on the shortlisted candidates we submit.
