About the role
Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades (AP-HP), one of France's foremost children's hospitals in Paris, is recruiting a nursing assistant (aide-soignant) for its ASTERYA child support center. The center welcomes children and teenagers placed under child-welfare protection, offering consultations and therapeutic workshops in a safe, reassuring setting. In this full-time, on-site role you will be a steady, caring presence for young patients and their carers: greeting families, explaining how appointments and workshops run, accompanying children during waiting periods and transitions, and helping the care pathway run smoothly. Day to day you will assist health professionals during consultations, prepare rooms and materials, keep premises and equipment clean according to hygiene protocols, manage consumable stocks, and pass on relevant observations to the multidisciplinary team. Clear communication, patience and respect for confidentiality are central to the job. This is a public-hospital position in Paris, open to tenured civil servants and contract staff, with no application deadline stated on the official listing. Applications are submitted exclusively through the French public-service portal, choisirleservicepublic.gouv.fr.
