About the role
The Prosecution Service is seeking a regional prosecutor at requirement level S11, based in Pori. This is a permanent post starting on 1 December 2026, with partial remote working. A regional prosecutor ensures that criminal liability is realised in the cases assigned to them, holding independent and impartial prosecutorial discretion and acting as prosecutor in criminal cases received by the Prosecution Service and in other separately assigned matters. At S11 level, the work focuses on ordinary and undifferentiated criminal cases. The Working Hours Act does not apply to prosecutor work. Pay is stated in the listing as a task-specific component of EUR 4,440.35, plus an experience component of up to 16 percent and a personal performance component of up to 38 percent of the task-specific component. Requirements
Eligibility as stated: prosecutor eligibility is governed by the Act on the Prosecution Service (32/2019) and the related decree, and a regional prosecutor must hold a higher university degree in law as specified in the listing; language skills must be demonstrated primarily as set out in Decree 481/2003, with Finnish excellent in spoken and written form and Swedish satisfactory in spoken and written form. Expected in the listing: mastery of a prosecutor's decision and action options, up-to-date prosecutor experience, ability for results-oriented work, and good spoken and written expression. Initiative and good interaction skills are an advantage.
