About the role
Mercer Retail is looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager – HR Retail to support HR operations across our retail network and work closely with store leadership and Head Office. Mercer Retail is the retail venture of Nizam Alam Group, building a growing multi-location retail network in Pakistan with a strong, people-focused culture. In this role, you will be a key link between store teams and Head Office, driving consistent HR practices across all locations. You will own day-to-day HR activities for the retail function, from hiring frontline staff to supporting engagement and compliance, and help build a culture where people can grow with the business. Responsibilities
- Support HR operations across all retail stores and regional functions - Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle activities - Ensure implementation of HR policies, SOPs, and compliance with labor laws - Handle employee relations, attendance, and disciplinary cases - Support performance management, training & development, and engagement initiatives - Coordinate with store leadership and HO on HR matters and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field - 4–6 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in retail or multi-location operations - Strong knowledge of HR processes, labor laws, and employee relations - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
