About the role
Cook regular and special-diet meals for a Bureau of Indian Affairs facility in Harlem, Montana. You will follow safe food storage and handling, plan cooking so meals are ready on time and at the right temperature, instruct food-service workers on handling supplies, and maintain equipment and inventory. Good organisation and a steady hand matter as much as cooking skill: meals must be nutritious, safe and served to schedule, including for people with dietary needs. Applicants must show the knowledge, skills and abilities for the work, including working without more than normal supervision, using tools and equipment, sound work practices, knowledge of materials, interpreting instructions, and dexterity and safety; no specific amount of experience is required and there is no education substitution at this grade. A solid full-time kitchen role in public service, in a close-knit Montana community. Salary: $28.60 – $33.36 per hour.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the experience and qualification requirements set out in the role description above.
