About the role
The Commissariat du Gouvernement à la souveraineté des données in Luxembourg City is looking for a data scientist and AI expert to work full-time. You will help the commission make better use of data, turning large and complex datasets into reliable analysis, tools and services that support data sovereignty. Your work will combine analysis with building: you will explore datasets, check their quality and structure, and design models and dashboards that answer real questions for public services. You will work on machine learning and AI projects from idea to production, including preparing data, testing models, documenting results, and making sure solutions are robust, explainable and safe to use. A large part of the role is collaboration. You will work with data engineers, policy specialists and other public bodies, translating needs into technical requirements and explaining findings in clear language to non-specialists. You will also keep up with developments in AI and data science, advising on what is practical, what risks need attention, and how new methods could help. The post is open to nationals of European Union member states, as stated in the official listing. No salary is stated in the official listing. Applications close on 6 November 2026, and candidates should apply through the official GovJobs listing linked below.
