About the role
Global Leaf is hiring a bilingual IT Infrastructure Engineer in Tokyo. The role covers user support, network and server operation and maintenance, and helpdesk services — including FortiGate firewall management and Zabbix monitoring. Day to day, you will carry real operational responsibility: supporting end users, keeping networks and servers running reliably, and watching over environments with monitoring tools such as Zabbix while managing firewall infrastructure including FortiGate. Bilingual ability in English and Japanese matters in this role, since you will bridge users and technical systems on client-site projects. The company emphasises training and development, with pathways into cloud, virtualisation, and security infrastructure — its infrastructure-focused curriculum targets certifications such as CCNA, CCNP and LPIC. A good fit for an infrastructure engineer who wants to keep learning while handling genuine operational responsibility.
Requirements
Bilingual (English + Japanese) capability; network/server operations and helpdesk experience; familiarity with FortiGate firewalls and Zabbix monitoring an advantage.
