About the role
A mental health care institution in Amsterdam is recruiting a GGZ nurse (ambulant verpleegkundige) to join one of its FACT teams. FACT (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment) teams deliver outreach-based psychiatric care, supporting clients with severe mental health conditions in their own living environment rather than in a clinic. As an ambulant nurse in the FACT team, you will visit clients at home and in the community, monitor their mental and physical health, support medication adherence, and intervene early when problems arise. You will work in close collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and peer support workers, contributing nursing expertise to shared treatment plans. The work is varied and autonomous: no two days look the same, and you build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients. This is a field-based, on-site role in Amsterdam, Netherlands, combining home visits with team meetings at the FACT team base. It suits an experienced psychiatric or community nurse who is comfortable working independently in the community and passionate about recovery-oriented care. A Dutch nursing qualification with GGZ experience and BIG registration is expected. Apply via the link on this listing.
