About the role
Provide comprehensive inpatient internal medicine care to adult veterans at VA Boston Healthcare System in West Roxbury. As a primary provider on Direct Care and General Internal Medicine teaching teams, you will assess, diagnose and treat patients, plan care, order and interpret tests, prescribe medication, arrange consultations, and coordinate safe transitions of care. The role also includes educating patients and families and guiding residents, medical students and other learners. Candidates need a master's degree in any discipline, or a bachelor's degree with one year of experience as specified, must have passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (or be in process as stated), and must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted licence to practise in a U.S. state or territory. Pay is set through a formal process that weighs education and length of practice.
