About the role
Join the Military Treatment Facility in Stuttgart, Germany, as a Practical Nurse (Family Medicine) caring for service members and their families. You will gather patient information, take vital signs, screen for behavioural health concerns, prepare procedure rooms, give immunisations to patients of all ages, teach self-care, and record information in the electronic medical record. Applicants need a current practical nurse licence from a U.S. state or territory, at least one year of nursing experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home or supervised medical setting, and basic life support. Pay is $37,937 to $48,377 a year (GS-5). This is a 36-month overseas tour with no locality pay overseas but possible foreign-area benefits, and it involves drug testing, immunisation screening, an annual flu shot, a pre-employment physical, lifting up to 50 pounds, and about 5% travel.
