About the role
This is an internal competitive examination (concours interne) — not a direct job application — for the 2027 intake of certified secondary-school teachers (professeurs certifiés, CAPES) in life and earth sciences (sciences de la vie et de la Terre, SVT), organized by the French Ministry of National Education with postings in French Guiana (Guyane). Successful candidates teach biology, geology and environmental science in secondary schools across the territory, from middle school through the baccalauréat level, supporting students in a unique Amazonian context. This is a Category A public-service teaching corps with tenured status. Registration conditions and application links are published in the official national concours calendar on fonction-publique.gouv.fr; candidates must register by the stated deadline of 25 November 2026.
