About the role
Naval Station Everett's Morale, Welfare and Recreation team needs a recreation assistant to help service members and their families make the most of base leisure facilities. You will welcome patrons, explain what activities are on offer, check eligibility and issue and receive equipment, keep accurate inventories, and handle snack-bar and retail sales through the point-of-sale system. You will also help plan, publicise and set up recreation programs and events, from sports and fitness sessions to community socials. The role suits someone friendly, organised and good with people, with practical customer-service and cash-handling experience, knowledge of community-recreation operations, and basic arithmetic and Microsoft Office skills. There is no formal education requirement, but you will need a valid state driver's licence and, as applicable, CPR and first-aid, food-handler and alcohol-safety certification, and you should be ready for irregular hours. The post is intermittent at grade NF-2. Pay: $20.54 to $22 per hour, depending on experience. Apply by 13 November 2026.
