About the role
bp, the global energy company that has operated in Azerbaijan for decades and partners in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields, is looking for a Reservoir Engineer to join its Production and Operations subsurface team in Baku. The engineer will monitor, analyse and optimise the performance of waterflooded ACG reservoirs, integrating surveillance data to improve understanding of reservoir behaviour. Day-to-day work includes supporting new well delivery with production and value profiles, leading waterflooding and contact-management analyses, using reservoir simulation tools to guide near-term optimisation, preparing pattern reviews and updating models with recent surveillance observations. The role works in a hybrid pattern, around 60 percent office-based and 40 percent from home as agreed with the line manager, with negligible travel expected. Apply through the application link on the listing page.
Requirements
- University degree in Petroleum Engineering or an equivalent programme such as Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering - Minimum 3 years of reservoir engineering experience on waterflooded fields, including reservoir management and field development planning - Experience using classical methods and reservoir simulation to evaluate and optimise waterflood performance - Ability to integrate diverse subsurface data and communicate with multidisciplinary teams - Good English language proficiency, both written and spoken
