About the role

Fingal County Council is seeking to appoint a Senior Engineer. Reporting to a Director of Service, the Senior Engineer is responsible for the efficient management and delivery of a significant programme of capital works, working closely with the Senior Management Team and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The role calls for an ability to successfully work through the challenges of delivering a significant capital programme, to engage successfully with stakeholders from different backgrounds and perspectives, and to manage and supervise staff, ensuring the development of those staff. Hours of attendance amount to not less than 35 hours gross per week, with an annual leave allowance of 30 days. The position is permanent and full-time. The salary scale effective from 1 June 2026 runs from €93,698 to €112,107 per year, including long-service increments. Applications close at 15:00 (Irish time) on Thursday, 5 November 2026.
