About the role

Frederikshavn Kommune is looking for a trained social and health care helper for evening shifts in home care in Frederikshavn Syd. The role starts on 1 December 2026, or as soon as possible before or after that date, and is a permanent, full-time position of 30 to 37 hours per week, by closer agreement, with a fixed weekend every second week. In this role, you will visit citizens in their own homes in the evening and help create safety and well-being in their everyday lives. The work starts from the idea that the citizen is in charge of their own life, so you will support people with respect for their independence, routines and wishes. You will join a team of skilled and engaged colleagues who help each other, with a strong professional focus and room for development. The workplace offers leadership that trusts employees' professional judgement, a thorough introduction and training, and a working environment marked by cooperation, decency and humour. Pay and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement. This is an on-site, community-based role in Frederikshavn, Denmark, for someone who enjoys working independently in people's homes and being an important, trusted part of their evenings.

Requirements

You must be a trained Social- og Sundhedshjælper. You meet people with respect, warmth and professionalism, work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks, and contribute actively to good cooperation and the working environment. You have an eye for both the individual citizen and the whole around the task. You must have a driving licence. A criminal record must be presented and a reference will be obtained.
