About the role

Närhälsan Nossebro Vårdcentral, part of Västra Götalandsregionen, is looking for a specialist doctor in general medicine for a permanent, full-time post in Nossebro, Essunga. You will work in primary care, seeing patients of all ages, assessing and treating common conditions, following up chronic illness and working closely with nurses and other colleagues to give patients safe, joined-up care. The health centre offers a varied clinical caseload, a supportive team and the chance to help shape local primary care. Interviews are held on an ongoing basis, so early applications are welcome. As with other permanent posts in the region, staff in this role are war-placed as part of the region's responsibility for society's preparedness.

Responsibilities

- Assess, diagnose and treat patients in primary care - Follow up patients with chronic and long-term conditions - Work closely with nurses and other health care colleagues - Keep clear clinical records and contribute to the development of the health centre

Requirements

Licensed doctor with specialist training in general medicine and the authority to practise in the field. One to two years of experience as a specialist is an advantage. You work independently, communicate clearly and put patients first.

Preferred qualifications

Experience of primary care work; an interest in developing local health care services.
