About the role
A supervisory laboratory scientist is sought for the Defense Health Agency medical treatment facility at SHAPE in Belgium, leading laboratory services that underpin diagnosis and treatment for the military community. It is a direct-hire federal post suited to an experienced clinical laboratory scientist with strong technical knowledge and a proven ability to lead people. Applicants must be United States citizens; note that United States citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible under the Status of Forces Agreement provision cited in the announcement. The initial overseas tour is stated as 36 months. This full-time permanent GS-11 role offers an international posting, federal benefits and senior laboratory leadership experience.
