About the role
The Transportation Security Administration is hiring Transportation Security Officers for the Waynesville–Saint Robert Regional Airport serving Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, with many vacancies available. You will operate screening equipment, search and screen travellers, baggage and cargo, control entry and exit points, and give directions and information to passengers, keeping a busy regional airport safe and moving. Applicants must be 18 or older, hold U.S. citizenship or national status, be proficient in English, and pass an interview, drug screening, medical evaluation and background investigation; qualification is one year of security or aviation-screening-type experience or a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Part-time shifts generally run 16 to 32 hours a week, set by the airport. This is a good entry route into federal service for people who are observant, reliable and calm under pressure, with promotion potential as you gain experience.
