About the role
The National Guard (Guardia Nacional) is recruiting agents for federal public security work in Zacatecas, Zacatecas. This is a full-time, on-site role carrying out federal public security functions and collaborating with local authorities, preventing crime and combating criminal activity, and supporting the population to safeguard life, integrity, and security. Members take part in crime prevention and combat programs, patrols and community-proximity rounds, information analysis, public security work coordinated with states and municipalities, protection of national assets, and support for civilians in emergencies such as natural disasters and civil disturbances, always acting with respect for human rights. Members work on selected days from 07:00 to 18:00, with work rosters given at interview. The position pays a monthly net salary of MXN 19,000 to MXN 22,000 and is open to applicants with completed upper secondary (preparatoria) education and no previous experience. No travel is required. Candidates should be team-oriented, committed, and able to work under pressure, and should apply through the official Portal del Empleo listing before the closing date of 12 November 2026.
Responsibilities
Carry out federal public security functions and collaborate with local authorities. Take part in crime prevention and combat, including programs against drug trafficking and illicit drug financing. Conduct patrols, community-proximity rounds, and information analysis to prevent crimes and administrative offenses. Protect national assets and help preserve public order and social peace. Support civilians in emergencies such as natural disasters and civil disturbances. Work with state and municipal authorities to coordinate public security actions.
Requirements
Completed upper secondary (preparatoria) education, titled. No previous experience required. Quality in work, continuous improvement, constant learning, adaptation to change, critical thinking, tolerance of pressure, results orientation, autonomy, teamwork, and commitment. No travel required. Full-time availability on selected days, 07:00 to 18:00, with work rosters given at interview.
