About the role
The Office of the Attorney General, Ministry of Justice, Republic of Palau, is recruiting four Assistant Attorneys General — two for the Civil Division and two for the Criminal Division — based in Koror. These are full-time posts on an initial two-year contract, renewable. Palau's Attorney General's office handles the full spectrum of government legal work: advising ministries and agencies, representing the Republic in litigation, prosecuting criminal matters, and supporting the rule of law in one of the Pacific's most pristine island nations. The roles offer litigators and government lawyers a rare combination — substantive, high-responsibility legal practice in a small-island jurisdiction, with the lifestyle of Palau's world-renowned natural environment. The stated salary is USD 70,000–90,000 per year. Recruitment is being run as a six-month advertising campaign launched on 1 September 2026.
