Audit Manager (FMG/AS 4)

About the role

The Ministry of Justice & Constitutional Affairs in Kingston, Jamaica, is seeking an Audit Manager at the FMG/AS 4 level to lead its internal audit function. This full-time role carries real responsibility for safeguarding public resources and strengthening governance. As Audit Manager you will plan and oversee risk-based internal audits across the ministry and its agencies, evaluate the adequacy of internal controls, and report findings and recommendations to senior management. You will lead and develop the audit team, ensure audit work meets professional standards, follow up on the implementation of recommendations, and provide independent assurance on financial management, compliance and operational efficiency. The position calls for a qualified audit professional with leadership experience, sound judgement and unimpeachable integrity. Requirements

- Professional accounting or auditing qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIA) or equivalent - Significant experience in internal or external audit, including team leadership - Strong knowledge of public-sector financial management and internal control frameworks - Excellent report-writing, communication and stakeholder-management skills
