About the role
The Administration des contributions directes is recruiting an Internal Auditor for its Internal Audit division, based in Hesperange. The administration collects the direct taxes that fund the State, and its internal audit function is what keeps that machinery honest, effective and well controlled. Within the Internal Audit division, you will evaluate and help improve the effectiveness of the administration's risk management, internal control and governance processes, carrying out audits across its services and following up on the recommendations you make. You will examine how processes actually work, test whether controls are in place and effective, identify weaknesses and risks, and propose practical improvements that management can act on. The role calls for independence of mind and professional scepticism, combined with the ability to communicate findings clearly and to work constructively with the services you audit. It is a senior post that draws on deep audit experience: at least ten years as an internal auditor is required, and the successful candidate will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy and to handle sensitive information with discretion. This is a full-time post in group A1, under a permanent State employee contract (CDI). Applications are made online via MyGuichet, and the deadline is 20 November 2026.
