About the role
The Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration is recruiting a Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Assistant Secretary level to lead its Change, Technology and Innovation (CTI) Division in Dublin. This is a Top-Level Appointments Committee (TLAC) competition for a single senior leadership post — it is not a panel. The CIO will oversee a multidisciplinary team, drive innovation, build the Department's digital capability and carry end-to-end responsibility for digital transformation across the Department, shaping how technology and innovation support justice, home affairs and migration services. This is a permanent, full-time appointment based in Dublin. Applications close at 15:00 (Irish time) on Thursday, 12 November 2026. Candidates must apply online through the official publicjobs.ie competition page for vacancy 9882, where the TLAC information booklet and application form are available.
