About the role
EMERGENCY POOL / DEPLOYABLE ROLE — this is not a standard Geneva office position. Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland is recruiting an Emergency Human Resources Coordinator for its emergency pool. This is not a desk job: you must be deployable within 48 hours to humanitarian crises — epidemics, conflicts, natural disasters. You will define and oversee HR policy for emergency interventions and manage HR, administrative, and legal matters in the field, gap-filling across operational cells as needed. MSF is the independent medical humanitarian organisation founded in 1971 and Nobel Peace Prize laureate (1999), providing emergency medical assistance in 70+ countries, funded almost entirely by private donors. Demanding, high-impact work for an HR professional drawn to the humanitarian sector. Employment type: short-term emergency-pool interventions.
Requirements
HR experience, ideally in emergency or field contexts; ability to deploy within 48 hours to crisis zones; solid grasp of HR policy, administration, and employment law basics.
