About the role
This is a fully remote Golang Kubernetes Engineer role at ArangoDB, the database software company behind a multi-model database built for AI agents and modern applications. You will work on distributed systems at the heart of the database: building and operating Go-based services that run on Kubernetes, improving reliability, scalability and performance of the platform. Your days will involve designing and implementing backend components, contributing to cloud-native deployment tooling, debugging complex distributed issues, and collaborating with a distributed engineering team across time zones. Familiarity with database internals is a plus but not required. This is a role for an engineer who loves infrastructure, cares about correctness in distributed systems, and thrives in an open-source-minded, distributed team.
Requirements
You have production experience with Go and Kubernetes, and a strong understanding of distributed systems. Database internals knowledge is a plus. You communicate clearly in writing, work well in a distributed team, and take ownership of the systems you build.
