About the role
The Department of Veterans Affairs is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in North Little Rock, Arkansas, for its medical centre. The split is roughly 55% masonry, 20% carpentry, 25% painting. You will build and repair metal, wood, concrete, block, and tile structures, do plaster, drywall, flooring, and tile work, read blueprints, use power and hand tools, and oversee boiler rounds. No fixed training length is required, but show scope and quality covering equipment assembly and repair, blueprint reading, materials, measuring instruments, and tool use. This full-time Direct-Hire WG-9 post pays $27.66 to $32.27 an hour, Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm.
