About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), through its OzonAction Branch, is engaging a National Consultant for Monitoring and Coordination to support Grenada's National Inventory of Banks project. This is a nine-month, homebased consultancy carried out in close collaboration with the Government of Grenada's National Ozone Unit. The project is preparing a national inventory of banks of used or unwanted ozone-depleting and waste-controlled substances and developing a national plan for their management, under the Montreal Protocol's Multilateral Fund. Under the supervision of the OzonAction Montreal Protocol Programme Management Officer, you will provide administrative support to UNEP's Independent National Consultant for data collection, lead stakeholder consultations to validate the inventory and the national plan, support the National Ozone Unit in establishing and coordinating a national expert team, and prepare project reports and technical information for dissemination. This consultancy suits a Grenadian professional with hands-on experience of the National Ozone Unit's work and the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector, strong project implementation and reporting skills, and the convening ability to bring diverse stakeholders around a shared technical goal. It is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to Grenada's compliance with international environmental commitments.
