About the role
Heilbrigðisstofnun Austurlands (HSA), the East Iceland health service, is seeking nurses for the Dyngja nursing home in Egilsstaðir. The employment percentage is 80–100% or as otherwise agreed, and this is a permanent post. For those who move to the area, help with housing and a relocation grant may be available. The nursing home is one of HSA's fourteen workplaces across its health care, nursing and hospital divisions, and the service places emphasis on cooperation across districts and serves more than 11,000 residents from Djúpivogur to Bakkafjörður, as well as visitors to East Iceland. Its work is built on respect for people, knowledge and interdisciplinary cooperation, with the motto of cooperation for welfare. Requirements
An Icelandic nursing licence is a requirement (Íslenskt hjúkrunarleyfi er skilyrði). Ambition at work, organised working methods, positivity and flexibility are emphasised. Fluency and reliability in communication are requirements (Lipurnð og áreiðanleiki í samskiptum eru skilyrði). Icelandic language proficiency is required (Íslenskukunnátta áskilin).
