About the role
Heilbrigðisstofnun Austurlands (HSA) is looking for nurses for the hospital ward of Umdæmissjúkrahús Austurlands in Neskaupstaður. The post is 100% or as agreed, worked on shifts, and the post has been available from 1 September or as otherwise agreed. The work of nurses on the ward is varied, and they work with a broad group of clients, with general nursing work in the surgical and medical ward. Umdæmissjúkrahús Austurlands provides emergency service for all of East Iceland, and this is an ideal opportunity for nurses who want to work and gain varied experience in general nursing. HSA is an ambitious workplace where about 470 people work at fourteen sites, where work is done systematically towards a good working atmosphere, and HSA builds its service on human dignity, knowledge and interdisciplinary cooperation.
Responsibilities
- Varied nursing work on the hospital ward with a broad group of clients - General nursing work in the surgical and medical ward - Participation in the emergency service provided for all of East Iceland
Requirements
Icelandic nursing licence is required (Krafist er íslensks hjúkrunarleyfis); emphasis on ambition in the job, organised working methods and a positive attitude.
