About the role

United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for an Open Rank Faculty position in its Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. The appointment is full-time and open to all academic ranks, with the level matched to the successful candidate's record. The department is particularly interested in candidates working in materials science and engineering, dynamics and control, vibration, aircraft, aerospace and propulsion. The post holder will be expected to build an independent and sustainable research programme, publish in leading refereed journals, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses within the department. Candidates must hold a PhD in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a closely related field from an internationally recognised university; a BSc/BEng in the field is preferred and industry experience is an advantage.
