About the role
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hiring four Park Rangers at Buford, Georgia, for a role that mixes outdoor work, public service and care for the natural world. Rangers run visitor, safety and interpretive programmes, protect park and natural resources, enforce Title 36 rules, collect fees, respond to incidents and carry out outreach that helps visitors enjoy the site safely. It is a varied job for people who like being outside, talking with the public and taking responsibility for a place others love. Applicants qualify at GS-5, GS-7 or GS-9 through relevant experience in parks, recreation, natural resources or law enforcement and/or related education, plus a driver's licence and ranger training requirements. These are permanent, full-time posts with a clear grade ladder as your experience grows. If you want a federal career spent largely outdoors, serving visitors and safeguarding public land, apply by 16 November 2026.
Requirements
Open to the public/U.S. citizens; GS-5/7/9 qualification through relevant park, recreation, natural-resource or law-enforcement experience and/or related education, plus driver's licence and ranger training requirements.
