About the role
NTNU, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, offers a three-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Aging Neuroscience Group at the Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience in Trondheim, starting in spring 2027. Physical daily presence at the institution is a prerequisite for the post. The group studies the brain networks behind social and emotional processing in ageing. The fellow will carry out high-quality research on a deep-sampling study — project design, fMRI and behavioural data collection and analysis — and publish and disseminate the results. The salary is gross NOK 633 400 per annum (Postdoctoral Fellow, code 1352, depending on qualifications and seniority). The post requires a doctorate in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences or a related field, expertise in fMRI design and analysis, and programming skills such as Python or Matlab; experience with multivariate and network analysis, small brain structures, machine learning or older-adult populations is preferred. Applications, with CV, diplomas, doctoral thesis, a two-page research plan and two first-authored papers, must be sent electronically via Jobbnorge.no (Jobbnorge ID 308852) by 7 November 2026. Interested candidates should apply through the application link before the deadline.
