About the role

UNOPS is recruiting a Programme Management Senior Officer to serve as National Coordinator of the GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP) country programme in Roseau, Dominica. This senior national position leads a respected global programme that channels funding to community-driven environmental initiatives. Under the supervision of the SGP Regional Focal Point, you will manage the full country programme cycle: supervising the SGP country team, preparing and implementing the annual work plan and budget, developing the project portfolio, and ensuring sound grant management in line with SGP standard operating procedures and UNOPS rules. You will organise stakeholder workshops, work with civil society and community-based organisations to shape project concepts, oversee monitoring and evaluation, and serve as secretary to the National Steering Committee. The role also carries a strong external dimension: building partnerships with government, donors and development partners, mobilising co-financing, and documenting lessons learned and best practices. Female candidates and candidates without prior UN or UNOPS experience are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a leadership opportunity for an environment and development professional ready to drive grassroots impact across Dominica.
