About the role
UNOPS, on behalf of the NDC Partnership, is seeking an In-Country Facilitator to be embedded within the Climate Action Unit of the Ministry of Environment, Climate Action and Constituency Empowerment in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis. This is a homebased retainer consultancy of twelve months, for a maximum of 220 working days, with the possibility of extension. As the NDC Partnership's in-country interface, you will coordinate between the government, the Partnership's Support Unit and its members to drive smooth implementation of the country's Nationally Determined Contribution. Your work will span stakeholder coordination and communication, operationalisation of the NDC Implementation Plan, facilitation of its delivery, mobilisation of partner financing to close support gaps, and tracking of implementation progress through quarterly reporting. The facilitator works from government facilities rather than a UNOPS office and must use their own laptop and software. This is a local position, open to nationals of Saint Kitts and Nevis or holders of a valid residence permit. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. It is a high-impact role for a climate policy professional who thrives on coordination, partnership-building and turning plans into action.
