About the role

The Malta Marriott Resort & Spa, part of Marriott International and one of Malta's leading five-star hotels, has an opportunity for a Reservations Agent in its Reservations Department at St Julian's, metres from Balluta Bay. The resort combines premium rooms and luxury suites with four restaurants, two bars, a rooftop pool, spa and extensive meeting and banqueting space, and its reservations team is the first point of contact for guests booking all of it. As Reservations Agent you will record and process reservation enquiries made by phone and email efficiently and accurately, converting enquiries into sales to maximise revenue and occupancy. The role covers creating and maintaining reservations in the property management system, handling the reservations inbox and guest requests, applying sell-through strategies when quoting availability, monitoring availability, and maintaining OTA and third-party extranets and messaging systems. You will also process advance payments, handle CTAC submissions to Finance, carry out inventory and reservation reconciliation, verify cancellations and reservations entered the previous day, manage no-shows, enter group rooming lists, run daily, weekly and seasonal reports, and upsell where possible, while keeping communication flowing with Front Office, Concierge, Sales, Finance and Events colleagues.
