About the role
DuckDuckGo, the privacy-focused search and browser company, is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for its Data Science Functional Team. The role leads high-complexity, end-to-end data science across Search, Duck.ai, growth, marketing measurement and revenue optimisation — statistical modelling, experiment design, Bayesian campaign analysis, production machine learning and NLP/LLM work, all on data that is deliberately privacy-constrained and often sparse. The data scientist scopes projects, ships them to production with minimal direction, and writes production-grade code in Python with advanced SQL against columnar databases. DuckDuckGo works remotely with no core hours at around 40 hours a week, with camera-on meetings and travel at least twice a year for all-hands and team retreats. Note: syndicated copies of this listing state conflicting compensation figures, so no salary is published here — candidates should check the figure on the official application page. The role is listed as remote from the UK, USA, Spain and a further set of listed countries. Apply through the application link before the deadline shown.
