Senior Insights Analyst

About the role

Tiaki Wai is looking for a Senior Insights Analyst to work in the Wellington - Wairarapa area. In this role you will gather information from a range of sources, look for patterns and trends, and turn complex data into clear, practical insights that colleagues and decision makers can use with confidence. A typical day may include working with datasets, checking data quality, preparing reports and visual summaries, and explaining what the evidence shows in plain language. You will work closely with teams across the organisation, help shape questions that guide analysis, and support planning and improvement by making sure insights are accurate, relevant and easy to act on. This is a senior role for an analytical thinker who enjoys solving problems, communicating findings clearly, and helping an organisation learn from its data to improve outcomes for the people and communities it serves.

Responsibilities

- Analyse data and identify patterns, trends and insights - Prepare clear reports and visual summaries of findings - Check data quality and ensure analysis is accurate and reliable - Work with teams to frame questions and interpret results - Present insights in plain language for decision makers - Support planning and improvement through evidence-based analysis

Requirements

Experience in data analysis, research or insights work at a senior level, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience working with datasets and reporting tools, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
