About the role
Swiss Re, one of the world's leading reinsurance companies, is hiring a Senior Java Engineer for its Bratislava, Slovakia office. Swiss Re's technology teams build the platforms behind global risk modelling, underwriting and claims — software where correctness and reliability truly matter. You will develop and maintain Java-based applications and services, working on systems that process complex risk data at scale. As a senior engineer you will take ownership of technical design, write clean and well-tested code, participate in architecture discussions, and mentor colleagues. The hybrid arrangement (up to 50 percent home office) combines focused remote work with in-person collaboration in Bratislava. This is a full-time position with a gross monthly salary between 2,700 and 4,500 euros.
