About the role

The Administration judiciaire is recruiting four Social Assistants for the Central Social Assistance Service (SCAS), Youth Protection section, in Luxembourg. These posts carry a judicial mandate: you will work under the authority of the youth judge, implementing educational assistance measures ordered to protect children and support their families. The educational assistance measure is a protection measure ordered by the youth judge: your task is to advise and guide parents in their educational role while keeping the child's well-being at the centre of everything you do. You will stay in close contact with the child, the family and everyone else who can provide useful information, building a clear picture of the situation and of what the child needs. Through regular reports, you will keep the youth judge informed of how the measure is progressing, and you will propose the measures that are most advantageous for the child. The work is demanding and deeply human: it requires professional judgement, the ability to build trust with families in difficulty, and the resilience to work with complex and sometimes painful situations. You will work as part of the SCAS team, with the support of colleagues and the framework of the judicial mandate. This is a full-time post in group A2, under a civil servant, change-of-administration or trainee appointment, with four positions available. Applications are made online via MyGuichet, and the deadline is 20 November 2026.
