About the role
UNFPA is seeking its Representative at the P-5 level to lead the DPRK Country Office in Pyongyang — the senior-most UNFPA position in the country. As Representative you will set the strategic direction of UNFPA's work in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, represent the organization to the government and the UN country team, oversee all programmes and operations, and manage the office's staff and resources. This is a role of unusual complexity and significance, requiring seasoned leadership, political acumen, and deep experience with UNFPA's mandate areas. It is an on-site, full-time international professional appointment. Few development leadership postings anywhere carry this level of responsibility in such a distinctive context.
