About the role
Akershus universitetssykehus HF is recruiting a health care worker (helsefagarbeider) for a permanent, full-time post in its old-age psychiatry department at Hagan. The department assesses and treats patients aged around 65 and over who have various psychiatric disorders, at specialist level, through outpatient clinics and inpatient wards, with close cooperation between the wards and the outpatient service. The post is a two-shift rota, working every third weekend, and covers a ward with nine beds. Day-to-day work includes milieu therapy and patient-centred work as part of a team, taking part in meetings linked to patient follow-up during the day and evening, responsibility for treatment plans and electronic documentation, guidance and teaching across the service, taking blood samples, and MAP work on meeting aggression problems. Requirements
Valid Norwegian authorisation as a health care worker (helsefagarbeider) is required. Applicants must have good written and oral skills in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language. Experience or additional education in a relevant field is an advantage. Personal suitability will be emphasised, and the successful candidate will be engaged, responsible and structured, able to work independently and in a team, and committed to safe, high-quality care for patients and relatives.
