Applicants need documented primary or rigorous wildland firefighting experience, meaning at least one full fire season in a primary role or at least fourteen days of on-the-ground fireline experience, plus one year of specialised experience at the GW or GS-4 equivalent level, a four-year bachelor's degree, or a combination.
