Work Assistant (Grade III)

About the role

The Department of Government Factory is recruiting Work Assistants (Grade III) in Kolonnawa, Sri Lanka, with ten vacancies in the Primary Unskilled Service Category (PL1), advertised in the Government Gazette dated 09 October 2026, Part I (IIA). The post is permanent and pensionable, with a stated salary of Rs. 40,000–61,880. Duties include cleaning and maintaining workplaces, assisting with transporting materials, and supporting technical officers in production and service activities at the Government Factory. Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens aged 18 to 45 years on the closing date, physically and mentally fit to serve anywhere in Sri Lanka, with six GCE Ordinary Level passes including at least two credit passes in no more than two sittings; no specific professional qualification or prior experience is mandatory. Selection is by structured interview (100 marks).
