About the role
Gaba Corporation is hiring 1-to-1 English instructors for its studios in Tokyo and Kanagawa — and this posting is genuinely open to overseas applicants, with no Japanese required. Gaba is one of Japan's major eikaiwa chains, founded in 1995 and known for its one-to-one ("man-to-man") lesson format aimed mainly at adult learners, with around 50 learning studios across the Tokyo, Chiba, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Fukuoka areas. As an instructor you will coach students one on one as a native-level English instructor. Pay is per lesson: ¥1,652–1,992 per 40-minute lesson, so this is a per-lesson instructor role rather than a fixed monthly salary — check the lesson volume on offer to estimate realistic monthly earnings before applying. For teachers looking to relocate to Japan, the combination of visa sponsorship and no language prerequisite makes this one of the more accessible routes in.
Requirements
Native-level English; no Japanese language ability required; open to overseas applicants.
