About the role
Heilbrigðisstofnun Norðurlands (HSN) at Skagaströnd, Sæborg, is looking for positive, reliable and service-minded individuals for work in care and in the kitchen. The work is shift work at a home where great emphasis is placed on warm, professional and individualised service to residents. The employment fraction is 40–100%, and the successful candidate can have the post as their first job or as agreed. We are seeking an individual who is interested in working with people, is interested in diverse tasks, has strong communication skills and works well both independently and in a team. Responsibilities
General care work and support to residents in cooperation with professionals. Kitchen tasks relating to preparation and finishing of meals. Participation in teamwork. Finishing, cleaning and other incidental tasks relating to the daily operation of the department. Laundry and related work, receipt and finishing of laundry. Other incidental tasks.
Requirements
Excellent communication skills, positivity and service-mindedness; initiative, flexibility in work and independent working methods; good Icelandic or English skills; clean criminal record and good reputation.
Preferred qualifications
Experience in similar work is an advantage but not a condition.
Benefits
Pay under the current collective agreement made by the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs and Stéttarfélagið Samstaða; no amount is stated.
