About the role
Heilbrigðisstofnun Norðurlands (HSN) in Fjallabyggð is looking for a practical nurse and/or practical nurse student for Hornbrekka in Ólafsfjörður, a 60-100% permanent post worked on three shifts, starting as soon as possible or as otherwise agreed. Hornbrekka has 22 nursing spaces and is a warm, strong workplace where emphasis is placed on professionalism, good service and residents' wellbeing. HSN Fjallabyggð works at sites in Ólafsfjörður, Siglufjörður and Dalvík, with emphasis on wellbeing at work, a positive working environment and a family-friendly workplace, in a close and family-friendly community with varied outdoor life and good quality of life close at hand.
Responsibilities
- Provide clients and patients with professional and individualised care - Assist with activities of daily life and general nursing - Take part in teamwork and work closely with other health professions - Record and share information in line with the institution's procedures - Promote the wellbeing, safety and welfare of clients and patients - Other occasional tasks
Requirements
Full practical nurse exam and Icelandic licence; confirmation of studies for students. Initiative and independence in working methods; excellent communication skills, positivity and flexibility; experience and/or interest in teamwork; good Icelandic skills; good reputation and clean criminal record (Gott orðspor og hreint sakavottorð).

Pay under the current collective agreement made by the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs and Sjúkraliðafélag Íslands.
