About the role
Heilbrigðisstofnun Norðurlands (HSN) Dalvík-Fjallabyggð is looking for a practical nurse and/or practical nurse student for home nursing in Siglufjörður, a 50-60% post, starting as soon as possible or as otherwise agreed. HSN Fjallabyggð works at sites in Ólafsfjörður, Siglufjörður and Dalvík, where coherent and diverse teams of professionals provide progressive health services, with emphasis on wellbeing at work, a positive working environment and a family-friendly workplace. The role suits a responsible, service-minded person with an interest in varied and demanding work in health services, offering the chance to work in a close and family-like team in a town known for varied cultural life and good quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide clients and patients with professional and individualised care - Assist with activities of daily life and general nursing - Take part in teamwork and work closely with other health professions - Record and share information in line with the institution's procedures - Promote the wellbeing, safety and welfare of clients and patients - Other occasional tasks
Requirements
Full practical nurse exam and Icelandic licence; confirmation of studies for students. Initiative and independence in working methods; excellent communication skills, positivity and flexibility; reliability and dedication; experience and/or interest in teamwork; good Icelandic and English skills; good reputation and clean criminal record (Gott orðspor og hreint sakavottorð).

Pay under the current collective agreement made by the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs and Sjúkraliðafélag Íslands.
