About the role
France's prison service is recruiting a director of prison services (directeur des services pénitentiaires) to lead the Lyon-Corbas remand prison, within the Lyon interregional directorate (DISP Lyon) of the Direction de l'administration pénitentiaire. This is the establishment's top leadership post: the director is responsible for the safe, lawful and humane running of the facility, overseeing custodial operations, security, staffing, budgets and partnerships with courts, probation services and local authorities, while driving sentence-enforcement and rehabilitation policy on the ground. The position is a Category A+ civil-service appointment, full-time and on-site in Corbas, France.
