About the role

The Regional Health Inspectorate – Montana is recruiting a Director of Directorate for its Public Health Directorate. This is a civil-service post, rank III junior. The director organises, leads, controls and coordinates the activity of the Public Health Directorate in line with the functions set out in the organisation rules of the regional health inspectorates. The directorate's work covers state health control in public health: drinking-water quality, water intended for drinking and household purposes, bathing waters, mineral waters used for treatment, prophylaxis, drinking and hygiene needs, and the sanitary and health requirements of sites and activities subject to state health control, under the Health Act and the inspectorate's organisation rules and the related ordinances. Day to day the director plans and assigns inspections, checks reports and laboratory and calibration results, coordinates with other units and institutions, and signs off on the directorate's opinions and measures. The basic monthly salary is set by the appointing authority under the salary regulation for civil servants in the state administration, by post level, qualification and professional experience, within the limits of 620.20 euros to 2,540 euros. One vacancy is open. Applications must be submitted by 6 November 2026 at 17:00. Selection is by defence of a strategic management concept on the topic "Priorities in the management of state health control in the Public Health Directorate", followed by an interview.

Requirements

Candidates in the voluntary reserve under Article 59, paragraph 1 of the Reserve of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria Act are given preference when equal final results are achieved, under Article 14, paragraph 4 of the competition regulation.
