About the role

Lycée Guillaume Kroll in Esch-sur-Alzette is recruiting a graduate educator for its Socio-Educational Service (SSE) on a permanent, full-time basis. You will be an active, trusted presence for pupils throughout the school day, supporting their personal, social and educational development. You will run the school's youth meeting space (Jugendtreff), act as a class referent, and work within a multidisciplinary team to identify and support pupils facing difficulties. Working closely with teachers, specialists, pupils and their legal representatives, you will provide individual support, help pupils build confidence and skills, and contribute to a welcoming school environment. The role follows the school calendar and rhythms, and calls for strong listening skills, empathy, discretion and teamwork.

Responsibilities

- Be an active presence for pupils in the socio-educational service - Run the youth meeting space (Jugendtreff) and organise activities - Act as a class referent and support pupils in difficulty - Work in a multidisciplinary team to identify and follow up pupil needs - Provide individual support to pupils and their legal representatives - Adapt activities to the school calendar and pupils' rhythms - Evaluate activities and contribute to the service's development

Requirements

Applicants must be nationals of an EU Member State and hold a higher education degree at least at level 6 qualifying for the graduate educator role. You need a good command of Luxembourgish, French and German, mastery of common ICT tools, and the ability to work in a team and with external networks. Strong listening, empathy, communication, discretion, interpersonal and time-management skills are essential.

Preferred qualifications

Knowledge of Luxembourg's education legal framework and experience in a similar socio-educational role are an advantage.
